Feedback
The tactile feel of nib on paper — not scratchiness.
Feedback is the audible, tactile sense of the nib traveling over paper fiber. Some of the most admired nibs made — Sailor’s 21k golds — are prized for a pencil-like feedback their fans find precise and grounding.
The distinction matters when reading reviews: feedback is uniform and controlled; scratchiness is uneven, directional, and a defect.
