Collector slang for extremely soft vintage full-flex.
A wet noodle is the far end of the flex spectrum: vintage nibs (many pre-1940s) so soft that hairline-to-triple-broad swells happen under grams of pressure.
They demand technique — slow strokes, deliberate release, wet ink, good paper — and they are why vintage Waterman and Mabie Todd pens hold their prices.
