Ghosting
Show-through: a shadow of writing, no actual ink.
Ghosting (show-through) is seeing the shadow of your writing through the back of a sheet without any ink having crossed it. It is a function of paper opacity, not quality — famously, 52 gsm Tomoe River ghosts plenty and bleeds almost never.
Whether it matters is personal: journal writers who use both sides care; letter writers rarely do.
