Bleed-through
Ink soaking clean through to the back of the sheet.
Bleed-through is ink penetrating the sheet until it marks the reverse side — the failure that makes a notebook single-sided. It tracks with paper porosity and ink volume: broad wet nibs on light, absorbent paper are the worst case.
Distinguish it from ghosting (show-through), which is only a shadow. Bleed ruins the back of the page; ghosting just previews it.
