Piston Fill

Answered

Can I fly with a fountain pen?

Yes — pens are unrestricted in carry-on and checked luggage, and bottled ink under 100 ml clears the liquid rules in your toiletries bag. The only risk is ink burping from pressure change, and the full-or-empty rule eliminates it.

Frequent flyers gravitate to pens with shut-off valves (Pilot Custom 823, Opus 88) or simply carry cartridges and fill on arrival.
