Choose cartridge/converter for flexibility — cartridges when traveling, bottles at the desk, trivial cleaning, and the widest pen selection at every price.
Option B
Piston Filler
Choose a piston to commit to bottled ink — two to three times the capacity, no parts to lose, and the small ceremony that makes filling a pleasure.

The bottom line
Most collections end up holding both: c/c pens for rotation and travel, one piston workhorse inked with the house blue-black. Start c/c; add the piston when one bottle becomes "your ink."
